The CREATE Initiative advances research and education at the intersection of environment and equity through community engagement, interdisciplinary scholarship, and graduate training. Funded by the University of Minnesota’s Grand Challenges Research Initiative and in partnership with the Institute on the Environment, the project aims to identify how different ways of knowing and diverse data types can be mobilized to understand existing conditions and vision alternative pathways towards sustainable and equitable urban futures.
